Install on your own VPS
Step 1 of 4
What you need
This guide is for a server you already have and can reach over SSH. GRIDer still installs itself — you only have to trigger it, with a single command.
- A server with Ubuntu 24.04 (recommended), Ubuntu 22.04 or Debian 12, and a public IPv4 address.
- At least 2 vCPU, 4 GB of RAM and 20 GB of disk, running 24/7.
- Root access to that server (or a user that can use sudo).
- Your GRIDer license: the install URL and the install token that came with it.
Have not created the server yet? If your provider has a “User data” or “Cloud-init” field, you can install it without ever opening a terminal.
Install with cloud-init insteadYour install URL is valid for 5 downloads over 72 hours, and every attempt counts. If you run out, ask for a fresh one in your Discord ticket — your license and your token stay the same.
